Scholarship Award

In July 2025, The Hummingbird Project was honored to provide a scholarship to Bryan, a graduating senior at the Virginia Avenue Park Teen Center, as part of the Next Steps Scholarship Program. This meaningful program supports a select group of highly engaged seniors each year as they transition into their post–high school journeys. The Hummingbird Project is proud to have sponsored one senior annually for the past two years.

As a dedicated participant, Bryan came from a single-parent household and proudly serves as the oldest of three siblings. A 2025 graduate, he is currently pursuing his education at both Santa Monica College and LA Trade Tech. With a strong interest in skilled trades, he is working toward becoming a professional plumber. His drive, leadership, and commitment to building a solid future makes him a valued member of the VAP community.
